​In One Digit Subtraction, we will subtract or minus one-digit numbers and find the difference between them. In Subtracting 1 Digit Numbers both the minuend and subtrahend are 1 digit numbers.

​What is subtraction?

​ -In Maths to subtract is to take away from a group or number of things. On Subtracting the number of things in the group become less or reduce. The symbol (–) is called the minus and the number after the symbol must be subtracted from the number before it.

​

Terms used in the Subtraction are Minuend, Subtrahend and Difference.

For Example: In 6-2 = 4, 6 is the minuend, 2 is the subtrahend and 4 is the difference.
