Be verbs (am, is, are) connect the words in sentences. They usually follow the nouns and pronouns. A Be Verb connects the subject part and the predicate part of a sentence.

Be verbs or Linking Verbs

am, is, are

"is" is used for singular noun and pronoun

"are" is ​used for plural nouns and pronoun

"am" is used for the pronoun " I" ​
