Comparative Adjectives

Comparative adjectives compare two nouns. In order to form most comparative adjectives, add an -er to the end of the word. If the word ends with a consonant and "y", change the "y" to "i" and add "er".

Example:

fast - faster

heavy - heavier​

Superlative Adjectives

Superlative adjectives are used to compare more than two nouns. Add -est to most adjectives to make them superlative. ​ If the word ends with a consonant and "y", change the "y" to "i" and add "est".
