Classify objects into given categories; count the numbers of objects in each category and sort the categories by count.
What skills are needed to master this standard?
Students will be able to identify different types of categories and classify items based on similar features, such as color, shape, or size. They should also be about to count the number of objects in each category. For example, there are 5 triangles and 3 circles. Finally, students will be able to explain and justify why certain objects belong to the chosen category.
