clays are made of very fine particles of dirt that come from mountaians and hills. Because of the running water of rivers, ​they become mud that floats and sinks at the bottom of rivers.

For thousands of years , people used clay to make different things. Potters made clay into cooking pots, jars , mugs and plates . Artists made vases, figurines, chimes and toys out of clay. ​

Different types of modelling Clay:​

1. Air- Dried/ Modelling Clay

This is composed of large white or terracotta blocks that hardens, you can paint it with acrylic paints.

2. Baked Modelling Clay​

this comes in different colors and hardens when baked in an oven or kiln.​
