Past Simple, Present Perfect Simple vs Continuous

Past Simple
I cycled to school yesterday.
He bought flowers for his wife last weekend.
3
Spellingsuitzonderingen (1)
- to bake: We baked a delicious cake yesterday.
- to panic: She panicked when she heard the bad news.
- to marry: She married him when she was 18 years old.
4
Uitzondering op alles
Het werkwoord to be heeft zijn eigen vormen in de verleden tijd.
I was
he was
she was
it was
we were
you were
they were
In het kort: enkelvoud krijgt WAS, meervoud krijgt WERE
5
Vragen maken
He bought flowers for his wife. --> Did he buy flowers for his wife?
He was working hard. --> Was he working hard?
6
Ontkenningen maken
He made his homework. --> He didn't make his homework.
Bij was/were mag je er gewoon not achter zetten!
He was happy. --> He wasn't happy.
