1. Present Simple Usage

​Chúng ta dùng thì hiện tại đơn để:

1. Nói v​ề một sự thật hiển nhiên, luôn đúng trong thời gian được nhắc đến.

2. Nói​ về một thói quen được thực hiện hằng ngày hay có lịch trình cụ thể.

A cat is an animal

You drink water everyday​

• Nói về những sự thật diễn ra trong quá khứ

• Nói về những sự thật luôn đúng trong hiện tại

• Nói về những thói quen không còn diễn ra

2. Affirmative Form

Công thức thể khẳng định như sau:​

Trong đó:​

I/You/We/They/Plural Nouns + V + O

He/She/It/Singular Nouns + V (s/es) + O

Ví dụ:

2. Affirmative Form

Một số từ vựng thời gian hay dùng với thì hiện tại đơn:

• every day, month, week

• once/twice a day

• daily

• on Mondays/Tuesdays

• at the weekend(s)

• at 5pm/8:30am

• at lunch

Ví dụ:

2. Affirmative Form

Quy tắc chia động từ (thêm s/es) như sau:​

• ​Chúng ta thêm -es vào nếu động từ kết thúc bằng

  -ch, -sh, -s, -ss, -x, -z, -o

• Chúng ta thêm -ies nếu​ động từ kết thúc bằng -y. Trước chữ -y là một phụ âm, không phải nguyên âm.

Thông thường khi nói ta sẽ hay sử dụng don't/doesn't. Còn trong văn viết chúng ta sẽ sử dụng do not/does not

4. Interrogative Form

Công thức thể truy vấn như sau:​

​Do + I/You/We/They + V + O ?

Does + He/She/It + V + O​ ?

(What/Why/Where/...) + do/does + S + V + O ?​

Ví dụ:

• Do they live in Viet Nam?

Dấu hiệu nhận biết thì hiện tại đơn:

1. Sau các câu có cụm từ chỉ thời gian như: every day, every week, every month, daily, monthly, weekly

2. Trong câu xuất hiện các từ chỉ số lần: one time, two times, once a week, once a year, twice a month​

3. Sau các câu có các từ chỉ ngày tháng: on Tuesday, in July,...

4. Trong câu có các trạng từ chỉ tần suất: always, usually, sometimes, never,...
