Division is the opposite of multiplication. So it is like subtraction but also faster. So if 5+5 is 10 then the opposite would be 10/2 which is 5. Division can be much more tricky.

Multiplying is like adding, but doing it a much faster pace.

if 2+2 is 4, then 2 x 2 is also 4.

​But if: 2+2+2+2+2+2+2 is 14

than that means 2 x 7 is also 14.​ It's much faster to do, and takes more memorizing

​For the twos you add 2 to each

new number. 2 x 2 is just 2+2 which is 4. so 2 x 3 is really 4+2 which makes 2 x 3=6 (4 + 2= 6)

​The threes are just adding 3 to every new number. 3 x 2 is actually 3+3 which is 6. So, 3 x 3 is just 3+3+3. Which is 9.
