Compound Sentences

What are compound sentences?​

  • co​mpound sentences have at least two simple sentences or independent clauses.

  • these simple sentences are joined by coordinating conjunctions and, but, or

  • if the sentence is too long, a comma can be added after the first simple sentence ​
