What would you say is "your main goal of teaching?" (This is personal. What is your own personal goal for teaching?)
3
Regardless of your personal goal in teaching, you are not wrong. The goal will guide how you teach, however, there are some keys to add to your chain in order to be even more successful.
Today we will be walking through the curriculum and discussing some keys for effective teaching.
*Disclaimer: I am not the epitome of perfect teaching, therefore this discussion will be collaboration based.

What are your thoughts?

We will be exploring the curriculum from here. You can keep this open on your phones as we will be back to it.

Extra key take aways
Collaborate with your class
Visuals help keep the flow of the class clear. Students can keep up.
Have some open ended questions ready to stimulate discussions.
Play to your strengths as a teacher. The curriculum is a guide, not a rule book.
Personal study is important. If you don't know what you're teaching, well...
Have fun. If you enjoy it, students will feel that too.

You can never overprepare
here's a basic weekly guide
Sunday/Monday: Read The lesson
Tuesday: Read the scripture
Wednesday: Read any commentaries you have/or online referring to your scripture or topic
Thursday: Make notes and create your plan/Explore the curriculum sight
Friday: Finalize your plan
Saturday: rest, pray

Extra Keys
Less is more: You do not have to talk the whole time
As stated before, use open ended questions for opening the floor to class discussion
understand the technology: Zoom has opportunity for small groups, polls during the lesson, etc. There are also other options like quizizz, kahoot, etc. they are not jut for kids. They can be used for everyone.
know yourself. As a teacher, it is important to know yourself. How do you study? How long does it take you? remember that not everyone learns the same way. Be prepared for that in class.
Some text here about the topic of discussion
