6

Open Ended

Write the standard of an equation of a circle whose center is (0,0) with the radius of 5.

7

Open Ended

Write the standard of an equation whose center (-1, -1) with a radius of 3.

8

Steps on how to graph a circle.

 1. Locate the CENTER of the circle by plotting the coordinates.

  1. Calculate the radius and set into r-squared to find the radius.

  2. Plot the radius point in the coordinate plane. Count out in every direction from the center. (left, right, up and down.)

  3. Connect the dots to graph the circle.

9

Example:

1. Center: (0,0) with a radius of 2.
