Sometimes a place has a special, or proper, name and that makes it a proper noun.

I hope you noticed that some words are spelled with lowercase and uppercase!

Look at these two sentences:

In the first sentence the person's name was capitalized, but in the second sentence it wasn't!

The other day betty went to the country home store and bought a Wrench.

The right way!

Do you see what's wrong in the second sentence? Is the person's name capitalized? Is a thing that shouldn't be capitalized, also?
