The Rich Oilman

Once upon a time, there was an oilman named Roy. He was a very rich man in a royal family in a place called Point of Oil. Every day, Roy would find joy in one more new oilwell. He saw the oil gush up into the sky and he saw the soil turn black with oil. Oh, how joyful he was. He pointed to the oil and said, "Oh, now I will have more coins to put in my pocket to enjoy."

Roy was good to the people of Point of Oil. He liked to share his coins with them. He planned a picnic for them and invited them to enjoy the oysters that he broiled for them. The people were loyal to him, so they stopped toiling at their jobs. They came to the picnic and enjoyed the oysters he broiled for them. Roy did not spoil the people, but he told them to enjoy the picnic he had for them.

One little boy said, "Roy, you are a joy to all of us and we enjoy being with you." This made Roy so happy that every year from that day on, he had a Point of Oil picnic for his friends.
