READ THE PAASAGE​

It was the selection trial for the inter-school soccer competition. Midway through the game, one of Mike’s soccer boots suddenly gave way. Mike persevered; he yanked off his boots and started playing barefoot. His footwork and commitment captivated his coach.

The coach called him and said, “Mike, you will be playing as the midfielder in the opening game next month. Get a new pair of boots by then.”

Mike knew his family’s financial situation and how his parents were struggling to make ends meet. He decided to buy his own pair of boots. He managed to set aside some money each day and saw his savings accumulate gradually. However, his savings alone were not sufficient to buy the boots. Seeing Mike’s dilemma, his parents decided to chip in some money to get him a new pair of boots.
