VOLUME OF CUBE AND

= side x side

​Volume (rectangular prism)

= length x width x height

NOTE:​

Base = length x width

​We can find the volume of a cube and a rectangular prism by counting (but it takes time), and by using the formula (which is easier).

​V = lwh

= 9 m​ x 5 m x 8 m

​V = lwh

= 18 m​ x 16.3 m x 3.1 m

To solve for the volume of a cube or rectangular prism, we multiply the measurement of the dimensions – sides (cube) and length, width, and height (rectangular prism).

The final answer should always be cubed.​
