Adjective Agreement & Placement
Adjectives in Spanish agree in gender and number with the noun they're describing. But, it's also important to know the gender of the noun we're describing.
It's easier with people's names, but not always as easy with more obscure nouns.

Nouns and their gender
1. Most masculine nouns end in -o and feminine end in -a (el chico/la chica)
2.-ista endings can be masculine or feminine
(el dentista/la dentista)
3.Nouns that end in -e can be both. These have
to be memorized. (el pupitre/la clase)
4.Many nouns that end in -e can be made both
masculine and feminine (el estudiante/la
estudiante)
5.We need to add -a to nouns that end in -on to make them feminine. (El ladron/la ladrona)
