Last week we flew to Switzerland on holiday. We set off about 5.30 in the morning to catch the plane but the weather was dreadful. It was swnowing hard . There was an accident on the motorway between a lorry and a car and we didn't make it to the airport until half ten. It turned out that all the planes had been cancelled because of the weather conditions, and we were forced to stay at the airport for seven hours! The good news was that we didn't miss the flight. The bad news was that the heating in the departure hall broke down so it was freezing. There were so namy people that there was no food or drinl for all of us either! What a horrible start to the holiday! When we arrived in Switzerland, surprise surprise, it was snowing too, but we were there to go skiing after all!
