Be going to + infinitive
We use be going to + the infinitive form of a verb to talk about future plans.
Examples: I am going to study today => They are going to study today => The company is going to study the balance of the month today.
When the verb that follows be going to is "go" we can omit "to go".
I am going swimming tomorrow => They are going running tomorrow.

Be + subject + going to
We use be going to in questions placing the verb to be then the subject of the sentence and then going to.
Examples: Is she going to the cinema tonight? => Am I going to work here the next year? => Are they going to win tomorrow?
Again, we can omit "to go" if the verb forllowing be going to is "go" =>
Are they going abroad the next year?

Present continuous for future
We can use the Present Continuous to talk about arrangements with fixed time and place in the future. However, we can also use be going to.
Examples: I'm meeting my friends tonight at the cinema => They are going running tomorrow at the beach.
Some expressions to talk about future are, next (year, week, etc), tonight, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow and In (two days, years) time...
