Four out of six subjects were preferred by male students and they were mathematics, psychology, programming and engineering. Both mathematics and psychology had the highest number of male students which was 200 but the former recorded the biggest gap between the male and female students while the latter, the smallest. Next, the same number of male students which was 150 chose programming and engineering but females saw half the number only. Dissimilar to the four subjects, linguistics was chosen by more female students. There were approximately 30 more female than male students preferring linguistics and the number of male students who chose linguistics was the lowest among all subjects. Natural Science was the only subject that managed to attract equal number of male and female researchers at exactly 200 students for each gender
