Introduction
Fried rice is a dish of rice that is fried in a frying pan or frying pan to produce a different taste because it is mixed with spices such as salt, garlic, shallots, pepper and sweet soy sauce. In addition, additional ingredients such as eggs, vegetables, seafood, or meat are added. These foods are often eaten alone or accompanied by other dishes. Fried rice is a popular component of East, Southeast and South Asian cuisine in certain regions. As a home-made dish, fried rice is usually made with ingredients left over from other dishes, leading to an endless variety. Being a supporter of the economy, the same thing happens to fried noodles or pyttipanna.

Description
Several popular varieties of fried rice have their own specific ingredient lists. In Greater China, the most popular varieties include Yangzhou fried rice and Hokkien fried rice. Japanese chāhan is considered a Japanese Chinese dish, derived from the Chinese fried rice dish. Korean bokkeum-bap is generally not considered that way, although there is a Korean Chinese variation of bokkeum-bap. In Southeast Asia, similarly constructed Indonesian, Malaysian and Singaporean fried rice and khao phat Thai are popular dishes. In the West, most restaurants for vegetarian or Muslim customers make their own variety of fried rice, including egg fried rice. Fried rice also appears on the menus of American restaurants that offer dishes without the original traditions of the dish. In addition, there is a variety of fried rice in the southern states of the United States. Some of these varieties include chaulafan from Ecuador, arroz chaufa from Peru, arroz frito from Cuba, and arroz mamposteao from Puerto Rico. Fried rice is a popular street food in Asia. In some Asian countries, small restaurants, roadside outlets and traveling vendors specialize in serving fried rice. In Indonesian cities, general fried rice vendors are commonly found moving around in their food carts and stopping on busy streets or residential areas. Several Southeast Asian food outlets offer fried rice with a choice of flavors and side dishes.

Tumpeng, often known as rice tumpeng, is a Javanese food in which rice is prepared in a cone form with side dishes. Yellow rice, plain white rice, or uduk rice are the most common types of processed rice used. This style of serving rice is popular among Javanese or Betawi people of Javanese origin and is often served during a feast or celebration of an important event. However, the Indonesian people are generally familiar with this activity Tumpeng is traditionally served on a tampah (traditional round container made of woven bamboo covered with banana leaves).
Tumpeng
10
Tumpeng comes from the ancient tradition of the Indonesian people who glorify the mountain as the dwelling place of the hyang, or ancestral spirits (ancestors). After the Javanese people embraced and were influenced by Hindu culture, the cone-shaped rice was intended to imitate the shape of the sacred mountain Mahameru, the abode of the gods. In the Slametan kenduri tradition in traditional Javanese Islamic society, tumpeng is served with the Koran recitation previously held. According to Javanese Islamic tradition, "Tumpeng" is an acronym in Javanese: yen metu kudu sing mempeng (if you go out you have to take it seriously).
There are no standard side dishes to accompany the tumpeng rice. However, some of the side dishes that usually accompany it are cakes, shredded, fried soybeans, omelet / fried eggs, cucumber cut crosswise, and celery leaves. The variations involve dry tempeh, serundeng, long bean urap, salted fish or fried catfish, and so on. In understanding the traditional meaning of tumpeng, it is recommended that the side dishes used consist of land animals (chicken or beef), marine animals (catfish, milkfish or anchovies) and vegetables (kangkung, spinach or long beans). Each side dish has a traditional meaning in Javanese and Balinese culture. Contests to make up cones are quite often held, especially in cities in Central Java and Yogyakarta, to celebrate the Proclamation of Independence Day.
