In Portuguese we use 2 verbs to talk about trips

• Vou em um(a) ...

• Vou ...

Example:

• Eu vou em um cruzeiro;

• Eu vou acampar;

In English:

Eu vou em um(a) = go on a/an

EU VOU = GO

​But, in English we use another verb too

to take a/ an

to take a/ an is similar to

to go on a/an

The difference is length and formality

Take a/an = informal and short (weekend)

go on a/an = more formal and normal (5-7 days)
