​Ta nhận thấy 2 mốc thời gian khác nhau -> Câu điều kiện loại hỗn hợp 3-2:

If this thing had happened, that thing would happen (now, at the moment,..).​

1. If-clause: yesterday

   -> Sử dụng loại 3: 1 điều có khả năng xảy ra trong quá khứ​

2. ​Main clause: now

   ​-> Sử dụng loại 2: 1 điều không đúng, không xảy ra.

​=> Thay đổi 1 việc trong quá khứ và có kết quả/ảnh hưởng tới hiện tại.

Câu điều kiện loại hỗn hợp 2-3:

If this thing happened, that thing would/could/might/.. have happened.​

1. If-clause: loại 2 - một điều không đúng, không có thật, bất khả thi.

2. Main clause: loại 3 - một điều trong quá khứ có thể thay đổi.

​=> Nếu như 1 việc không thể là có thể, thì ta đã có thể thay đổi 1 việc trong quá khứ.

2. Loại 2: sử dụng với những điều viển vông.

3. Loại 3: sử dụng với những điều có khả năng xảy ra ​trong quá khứ.
