● Used curved neck flasks (necks stopped

microorganisms from entering)

● Used broth and boiled it.

● Several days= no microorganisms

● Tipped flasks (microorganisms in air to

enter broth)

● Demonstrated: living things not arise from

air & organisms grow in air.
