This course is designed to help students achieve artistic skills that will help them become critical thinkers and problem solvers. During the course of this semester, students will be exposed to a variety of media during class assignments. All students are encouraged to participate during class project
Introduction

● Tardies - Students that are not present in the class when the bell rings will be considered tardy. 3 tardies will count as an unexcused absence.
● Behavior Expectation - Students are expected to participate and to behave in a class. Students are also expected to dress in school uniforms. Abuse or bullying behavior will not be tolerated.
● Classroom Fees – The classroom fee is the fund used to provide supplies for certain classes, like ceramic sculpture and painting. Please be aware of the fee before class starts
● Make-Up Work – Every student will have the opportunity to complete a project that they missed. It is, however, the student’s responsibility to arrange the time to make it possible.

● Cell phones - Students are expected to place their cell phones into lockers. The use of cell phone will only be allowed in certain classes and with teacher's permission. After instructions are given, students may be allowed to use their phones as long as it is for a class purpose.
● Homework Assignment - Students are expected to complete homework assignments when due. Homework is and will help you produce an “A” work.

In order to participate in this fine arts class students are encouraged to be good citizens of this class. A good citizen will strive to obey the classroom rules and succeed at the expectations of each project, as he or she would for the community where they live.

● S – Satisfactory
● N – Needs Improvement
● U – Unsatisfactory
Citizenship grade is broken down in 4 categories

● Participation - Students will be awarded 2 points per class period. 1 point if they are late for class and, 0 points when they are absent (except when they are excused)
● Behavior - Students will be awarded 2 points for good behavior. Students who misbehave in ways of, screaming, wasting supplies, disrespect towards others, will lose points as seen fit by the teacher
Mr. De Oliveira’s citizenship grading scale is divided into 3 main categories

Lincoln Academy policy in order to participate in school sports, music tours, etc is the following:
● No F’s on game day, or day leaving on tour
● And must have 6 out of 8 H’s or S’s with no U’s in citizenship
