  • i.e. something​ you can see and touch

• Input devices collect data for the computer to process

  • Input by human - e.g. mouse, gamepad

  • ​Direct input - e.g. barcode scanner, smartcard reader

  • Sensor - data read from environment, e.g. temperature from surrounding

• Output the processed information from the computer physically

• e.g. Computer monitor (screen), printer, spea​kers
