Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease of the brain and spinal cord.
Happens between 16-55 years old.
This causes damage to the nerves and disrupts the communication between the brain and the rest of the body.
It happens because the immune system attacks the protective covering (the myelin in blue) of the nerve cells.
