Conjunctive Adverbs​​

We learned in lesson 10 that an adverb describes a verb, adjective, or another adverb. However, don't confuse an adverb with a conjunctive adverb, which is a conjunction that joins together two sentences. How it functions in a sentence is what's really important, and you'll know you're dealing with a conjunctive adverb when you see a semicolon followed by one of these words (conjunctive adverbs) and a comma.
