​Last week we reviewed how to do 3-digit addition with regrouping.

This week we will learn 3-digit subtraction with regrouping.

Let's start by looking at the example below.​

​Minuend: The integer which is subtracted from another number. (94)

​

Subtrahend: The amount to be removed from the minuend. (28)

​

Difference: The outcome of deducting the subtrahend from the minuend.

​

Minuend – Subtrahend = difference

94 - 28 = 66 ​
