​The example from the starter question is shown in the middle.

This tells us that the first two numbers where ​a score of 0. The numbers from 2 to 6 where a 1, and the numbers from 6 to 13 where a 2.

From this example we can see that the 12th number is a 2 and our median is a 2.​

Using the Cumulative Frequency

Example from Starter Question:

23/2 = 11.5

Therefore, the 12th number in data is the median

How do we know what number is the 12th number? (Look at the Cumulative Frequency column)

Divide total Frequency by 2
