How to form comparatives

​For most short adjectives, add -er: taller, smaller

For some adjectives, double the final consonant: bigger, hotter

Change the final -y to -i: happier, crazier

For long adjectives, use more/less: more/less interesting

Irregular adjectives: good->better, bad->worse ​

​For most short adjectives, add -est: the tallest, the smallest

For some adjectives, double the final consonant: the biggest, the hottest

Change the final -y to -i: the happiest, the craziest

For long adjectives, use most: the most interesting
