​A period property is a home built within a specific period of time, usually before the first world war (pre-1914).

The victorian period of hconstructing houses ranged from 1837-1901. Typical features include 3 sided bay windows. High pitched roof, fireplace in every room. Timber floors. Geometric floor tiles. High Ceilings

The Georgian period covers the reign of George 1 to George 1V. Broadly covering the 18th C. Townhouses were common, sash windows with smaller panes​ are typically Georgian. Cambered arches etc.

​The Edwardian period ranged from 1901 to 1910 (a very short era) It is common for Edwardian houses to have a short front garden, ornate decorative features, large rooms,porches with wooden frames, red brickwork.
