A star is a big ball of burning gas. Stars are many colors such as blue and red. Stars are bigger than planets. Stars don't appear during the day because of the sun. When the earth is rotated away from the sun you can see the stars. The bigger a star appears the closer it is. There are billions of stars in the universe.
