A star is a big ball of burning gas. Stars are many colors such as blue and red. Stars are bigger than planets.​ Stars don't appear during the day because of the sun. When the earth is rotated away from the sun you can see the stars. The bigger a star appears the closer it is. There are billions of stars in the universe.
