Vocabulary: environmental Issues and marketing

are defined as harmful effects to Earth and its natural systems due to the actions of humans.

Environmental issues

the condition of not having access to sufficient water, or water of an adequate quality, to meet one's basic needs.

Water poverty

​the practice or principles of keeping yourself and your environment clean in order to maintain health and prevent disease.

Hygiene

is the contamination of water sources by substances which make the water unusable for drinking, cooking, cleaning, swimming, and other activities.

Water Pollution

an illness that affects a person, animal, or plant a condition that prevents the body or mind from working normally

Disease

describes a change in the average conditions — such as temperature and rainfall — in a region over a long period of time.

Climate Change

​is a period of time when an area or region experiences below-normal precipitation.

Drought

a situation in which there is not enough food for a great number of people, causing illness and death

famines

are the most frequent type of natural disaster and occur when an overflow of water submerges land that is usually dry.
