How Were they Invented?
According to legend, one day a customer repeatedly sent his French-fried potatoes back to the kitchen to protest that they were too thick and soft. The chef’s solution was to thinly slice the potatoes and fry them in grease till brown. The customer loved the crisps and soon other guests began asking for them as well.

Who Invented them?
Potato chips were invented by a chef named George Speck. He was the son of an African American father and Native American mother. He was born July 15,1824. He died on July 22,1914 at age 90. he changed his name to George Crum because he felt embarrased of his name and wanted to be more like other people.
