Photosynthesis is the
process that occurs in the
leaf of a plant that converts
solar energy into chemical
energy.

Carbon Dioxide + Water + Sunlight ---> Sugar(glucose) + Oxygen

Plants use solar energy from the sun to convert

carbon dioxide and water into glucose (sugar) and

oxygen.

Photosynthesis occurs in the organelle called the
chloroplast. The gases enter and leave through openings
under the leaf called stomata.
