You oversleep, so you don’t have time to brush your hair.
Because you didn’t brush your hair, your best friend says you look like a troll doll.
As a result, you run to the bathroom to find a comb.
Because you are running, you trip and fall flat on your face. Now you have messed
up hair AND a messed up face.

While reading this chain of events, stand up
everytime you notice a cause and effect
sentence.,
Geraldine saw that a student was stuck on the
monkey bars, so she decided to help. She ran to the
monkey bars, lifted the student off, and set him on
the ground. Since Geraldine was a big yellow
monster, the recess duty teacher thought she was
attacking the student instead of helping.

As a result, she ran up to Geraldine and started shooing
her away with a large umbrella. Geraldine got mad, so
she roared at the recess duty teacher. The principal
heard the roar and came out with her bullhorn. She
started shouting orders. “GERALDINE, STOP ROARING
IMMEDIATELY. MISS STEVENS, STOP WAVING AT
GERALDINE WITH THAT UMBRELLA. STUDENTS,
STOP RUNNING AROUND WITH YOUR ARMS IN THE
AIR AND SCREAMING.”
