narrator

the narrator is the character in the story. The readers sees through the narrator's eyes *uses first-person pronouns (I, me, etc.) to refer to him or herself

first person point of view

the writer speaks directly to the reader. This view is used most often in practical reading materials such as instructions, directions, or travel brochures. Pronoun clue “You”

second person point of view

narrator is a voice outside the story and NOT a character. *uses third-person pronouns (he, she,etc.) to refer to a character

​

third person limited point of view

narrator is an all-knowing observer and not a character. The reader sees through multiple characters' eyes and can share all their thoughts and feelings. *uses third-person pronouns (he, she,etc.) to refer to all characters.
