1. ใช้บอกกล่าวเรื่องราวต่างๆที่ได้ตัดสินใจมาแล้ว ก่อนที่จะมาพูดคุยกัน ณ ตอนนี้

เช่น

I’m going to watch movies tomorrow.

She’s going to clean the house next week.

2. ใช้คาดเดาว่าเหตุการณ์นั้นจะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคตแน่นอน โดยมีสภาพแวดล้อมประกอบการคาดเดา ไม่ใช่ทึกทักเอาเอง เช่น

Look at the dark clouds. It’s going to rain. Let’s go.

Hurry up! We are going to miss the train.
