A narrative essay is a story about your experience, either imaginary or real. Or about somebody else.
It tells specific stories.

Components of a story
Plot
Characters
Setting
Descriptions

Beginning
Introduces and describes the people, place and time of a story.

The middle
can have several paragraphs;
can describe more action;
activities and events involving the main characters are expanding;

The end
resolve the complication/problem;
end story with a twist;
leave reader with a question or mystery;
remind readers the central message;

Things to remember!
use 1st or 3rd person;
always use past tense;
describe events chronologically;
don't use too much dialogues;
use details when describing something - sight, sound, smell, taste;
use descriptive languages;
