Instructions:

·        Write a thank you message for each one of the following situations.

·        Decide if you need formal or informal expressions.

·        Each message must contain at least 50 words.

Open Ended

1.      You were in the US, and someone invited you to their home. You met his family and friends, and you had lunch with them.

2.    You were on a ten-day visit to a college in Vietnam. Someone at the college showed you around Ho Chi Minh City on the weekend and helped you during your visit.

3.     You work for a sports equipment company. A customer bought some products from you this year. Email him some information about your company’s new products for next year.

Writing Rubric for A2 Level according to the CEFR

Organization	Text is connected and coherent, using basic linking words.	Text is connected using basic, high frequency linking words.	Production unlikely to be connected, though punctuation and simple connectors may on occasion be used.
Vocabulary	Uses everyday vocabulary generally appropriately, while occasionally overusing certain lexis.	Use basic vocabulary reasonably appropriately.	Produce basic vocabulary of isolated words and phrases.
Grammar	Use simple grammatical forms with a control. While errors are noticeable, meaning can still be determined.	Uses simple grammatical forms with some degree of control. Errors may impede meaning at time.	Produce few simple grammatical forms with only limited control.
