Remember, a pronoun is a word being used to replace a noun, which is known as an antecedent (because
it comes before, ~ante~ the pronoun.

Agreement is found when you ensure that the amount of antecedents is reflected by the pronoun.

The boy scout troop couldn't find its way out of the forest. The scout leader and Tommy were leading
the way when the former lost his footing and fell, shattering his ankle. The latter immediately panicked

Noun Agreement

Nouns are people, places, & things; noun agreement is the act of
ensuring that the nouns being used to refer to previously
mentioned nouns match in number. That's it. There's nothing else
you need to do in Khan besides identify what is being referred to
by the underlined portion of the text, then ensure that they
reflect the same amount of nouns.

Subject Verb Agreement Mini Lesson

A subject is the noun being discussed in the sentence, a verb is
an action.

The basic rule of subject verb agreement is that verb and subject must
always agree in number; when the subject is singular, the verb must
be singular and when the subject is plural, the verb must be plural.

Singular subject verbs include: is, was, has, does & verbs ending in s or es
Plural subject verbs include: are, were, have, do & verbs without an s or es

​Each can be used with plural nouns and pronouns but must be followed by 'of'.
