Peer Review Day Guidelines

1. Use your Achieve link to access the peer review step.

  1. If you submitted a rough draft, you have been assigned a peer review partner in Achieve. If you did not submit a rough draft, you have been emailed instructions along with a draft to review (TCTC email).

  2. You will make a minimum of four comments--one for each draft goal.

  3. This is also a great time to ask me questions about your draft, so take advantage of that time if you need it.

  4. When you have completed your peer review, you may leave.

Excerpt From Writer's Draft

Needs Work - This is getting to be an excellent thesis statement. I can tell you that this is unclear what you are comparing. I would also move it toward the bottom of the paragraph. You also need to add points of comparison

Draft Goal: Evidence

"     Through the eyes of science, electric cars are easily the best option for the environment but this comes at a cost. The cost being the price tag. If everyone was able to afford electric cars, this would be an instant way to reduce the…"

Nice Job - I like this evidence because most people don't think about the batteries and where they go when they no longer work.

Draft Goal: N/A

"If handled properly lithium-ion batteries can be an excellent alternative to gas and diesel powered automobiles."
