What is this activity?

• The "Remember The Beginning Sound Game" is an activity that lets children practice identifying the first sound of a word.

• Activity is made for grades K-1.

• Materials: Set(s) of matching cards, at least 10 cards for each set. Must have at least two cards for every beginning sound. For example, the cards ball, and bat. They both match because they have the beginning /b/ sound.

• The specific card set I chose today reviews sounds: /b/ /k/ /d/

Before we start our game we must review our skill to identify the beginning sounds of words.
