Narrative Writing/Paragraph
Narrative writing tells a story using
a beginning,
middle, and
an end.
It includes elements such as characters, setting, problem, and solution.
The author’s purpose is usually to entertain or teach a lesson.
Narrative writing can be fact or fiction but the process is the same.

Relative Clauses
These describe the preceding noun in such a way to distinguish it from other nouns of the same class. A clause of this kind is essential to clear understanding of the noun.

She lives in New York. She likes living in New York.
→ She lives in New York, which she likes
You will not write the same nouns as they are replaced by that/which/who.
I bought a new car. It is very fast.
→ I bought a new car that is very fast.
Example
We can use relative clauses to join two English sentences, or to give more information about something.

Who to replace a “person” subject.
Which is used to replace a “non-person” subject.
That is used to replace which or who.
Note: The second subject must be the same as the first object to create a relative clause.
