Meet Louis Sachar
Louis Sachar was born in New York in 1954 and moved to California during his childhood. After college he wrote Sideways Stories From Wayside School and based the characters off of his classmates from elementary school. He wrote and published Holes in 1998. Sachar works on his books every morning and never talks about his books until they are finished.
