Comparing Fractions Rules

​1) If the denominators are the same,-> compare numerators.

The larger numerator is the larger fraction.

​2) If the numerators are the same,- > compare denominators.

The larger the denominator is the smaller fraction.

3) If both numerators and denominators are different-> cross multiply.

The side with the larger number is the larger fraction.
