A triptych is a group of 3 separate images displayed together. But crucially, the 3 images are more than just 3 photographs set out next to each other - they work together to create something more than that.

“Self taught photographer born and raised in Germany to
Nigerian parents, living and working as a creative director in
Hamburg, Germany.
Photography has started eating my mind in November 2010.
While traveling I realized that I have always been more
interested in the people around a particular sight than in the
sight itself. It is my passion to explore life in these unknown
environments …
My photography is mostly referred as street photography or
documentary, but I honestly don't care too much about
neither categories or limitations, nor in missing pixels, one
or two missing fps or missing ISO 25K. But I do believe in
photographic skill, vision and a will of constant
improvement.”

Tips for Taking Triptychs
Plan a photoshoot. Think about what composition of 3 photos you want to capture.
Think about background, wardrobe choices, and any props you might use.
Be aware of indoor lighting conditions or time of day if shooting outside and
adjust accordingly.
Take 15 or more shots of your model focusing on:
○Head/Face
○Body/Midsection/Hands
○Feet
Experiment with different poses
Choose your 3 best images to edit. Images may be in color or black and white.
Create a triptych collage!
32
Make sure your images fit the collage format you choose.
The rectangle format is too thin in both of these examples.
