  • EXAMPLE

  • An exponent is a numbe that is multiplied by itself multiple times.

  • EXAMPLE

  • 24

  • This is read as "2 to the 4th power"

  • To work this out you would multiply 2 to itself 4 times

  • 2 x 2 x 2 x 2

  • 24=16
