VIEW STUDENTS’ SCREENS

1.Sign in through Class Link

2.Select a Google Classroom from the
dropdown menu on the left.

3.Open Class Settings

4. Set the type as Ad Hoc.

Set Session Duration for an amount of time that students are with you. Do not exceed their time with you, so you don’t impact their browsing with other teachers.

Click Start.

3.To allow students to continue browsing,
toggle Browsing ON.

1.While viewing students screens, toggle
Browsing OFF to turn of browsing for all
students.

DISABLE
BROWSING

2.It will take a moment for the students screens to
reload, then they will receive the following
message.

4.After a moment, students can use the back
arrow, search bar, or bookmarks to navigate to a
new page.

Multiple Select

When you Disable Browsing, all students will

• lose access to their entire screen.

• not be able to browse the internet.

• be able to X out and open a working tab.

• only be able to access the listed sites.

• be able to use their chromebook other than chrome.

CUSTOM BLOCK SITES

1.Click Web Rules

2.Select the Type of Web Rules you’d like to apply.

Students can continue
browsing freely.

3.Click Apply Changes

1.Select a student to view his/her screen.

2.Hover over the student’s screen to display more
options

3.Click the lock icon 🔒

4.Click the unlock icon to
unlock.🔓

1.Click Screen Lock

SEND A MESSAGE TO
STUDENTS

1.Select a student to view his/her screen.

2.Click Send

4. Students will receive a notification in the
corner of their screen with your message and
an option to respond yes or no.

1.Select a student to view his/her screen.

2.Click Send

CREATE GROUPS
Organize your student into groups to monitor browsing more efficiently
(reading or small groups)

1.From your main screen, click Create Groups toward
the bottom of the page.

2.Click the 🖉 to rename the group. Press Enter to save
it.

3.Use the to drag names from Default
Group to the newly created group.

4.Repeat steps for remaining groups.
