  • We have to consider how there are unique contexts with a unique body of words.

  • Some of these words acquire a new meaning when applied in these contexts.

  • For example: "What's up?" Could mean "How are you?" or "What is actually up there? A bird? A plane? Superman?"

  • From here, language gets only complicated because of the change of context. One word can mean a different thing with family, friends, school, or any different social group, including, work.
